Snip It, Snip It

I am a little late in posting this, but a few weeks ago we ventured to get Luke's first haircut. Yes, we have waited a l-o-n-g time to have his first cut. We could have waited longer, but the top was getting pretty long. We went to Snip Its in The Woodlands Mall one Saturday evening. Brett and I were both shocked, but he did great. He was pretty leery of them, and didn't like the spray bottle with water. He never cried, he just sat there like a big boy. This mommy teared up a little...it's hard to believe that my little boy will be two in less than a month! Where does the time go!?!?!

A couple Before pics:

Once he was all done, he got to go put his card in the machine and he got a little toy!
They even gave him a certificate for his 1st haircut!

I remember when my sweet little boy was born with no hair, and now here we are almost two years later getting it cut. It's amazing how fast our little ones grow. I must admit, I miss his little curls in the back!

(sigh) yes, I have yet to cut Rylen's hair as well. He has been called a girl quite a few times even with his very BOYISH clothes on. So, now I too am debating the day to snip the locks. I guess I still have a few months before he turns two to avoid the outing... I will probably cry to see the strands that he was born with fall slowly to the floor and then quickly gathered by a crazy mom to put in the baby book :) HA! They do grow up so fast and then just wait until you see your "little" boy next to your NEW "little" boy. It is going to be CRAZY!

I have to admit to tearing up, too. It's a precious haircut, though.
